Denison is our Help Desk Technical Manager and Level II Technician. He works with clients remotely when they call in to the help desk with issues they are experiencing. He also assists with some on-site visits for new installations of computers and network servers.

If you’ve ever called in to Tolar to inquire about an invoice, you might have had the opportunity to speak with Suzanne Ramos, our Accounting Assistant. Suzanne’s role at Tolar involves managing our Invoicing, Collections, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Purchasing/Returns processes.

As a Level III Senior Technician, Jim is our server and application guru. He makes things work correctly when most can’t. Jim gets involved as an escalation point for help desk issues, and he’s a great asset to our team.

What do you like most about IT? “The almost limitless possibilities for technology to perform our daily, mundane tasks so that we can get back to interacting with people instead of computers.”

Education: BA in History with a minor in Communication from Texas A&M University (Gig ’em, Ags)
Hobbies: I’m what you would call an extroverted extrovert. I receive my energy from people, and I have built an amazing community over the years, so I enjoy spending time with my people, and I am always down to meet someone new! You can learn so much just from stepping out of your comfort zone and listening to a new perspective. I also love fitness and health (physical and mental), and I strive to learn and grow every day.
What do you like most about IT? “I like that it is constantly changing and developing.”

Education: High School Diploma 20 plus years in the IT field
Hobbies: I have three kids and seven grandchildren, so you can say that I love ‘family time.’ Some of my grandchildren play sports, so we are usually on a field or at a gym cheering them on. The grandsons love to play Xbox, so you can also find us huddled by the TV playing together.
What do you like most about IT?: “With how fast IT evolves, it feels like I learn something new every day. When I was a kid, my father worked for Texas Instruments, and he would bring home a laptop, which was the size of a microwave oven. I thought that was the neatest thing that I had ever seen. Fast forward to today where we have tablets the size of a book with processing power that could replace a normal desktop computer.”

Education/Background: CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA A+ certifications
Hobbies: I like watching sports, playing video games, and spending time with my family.
What do you like most about IT?: “Deep in the digital jungle, I guide users through an endless maze of printers and Authenticator apps like a skilled navigator. The dull hum of the servers drones on, letting us know the beacon still has link lights, each Cat6 cable becoming a vine to swing across. It is calm, but soon, the power supply will start beeping.”

Education/Background: I have a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Howard Payne University. I have managed people and processes since 2007.
Hobbies: I have the best wife on planet Earth. We have four awesome children of our own and have been a licensed foster home since 2021. I enjoy pickleball, woodworking and spending time with family and friends.”
What do you like most about IT?: The thing I like most about IT is using IT to make life better for myself and those around me.

A little bit about yourself: “I am a classic computer nerd and I’ve been infatuated with technology my entire life. I got my first computer at seven and have been glued to a screen ever since. I’ve built a computer in a Cheerio’s box, made a database-driven website, a few games, and everything in between. When I’m not at my desk, I am in the kitchen, playing guitar, or spending time with my wife and friends.”
