What is Microsoft NCE?
Microsoft NCE (New Commercial Experience) is a new program from Microsoft that helps businesses save money on their licenses and get more value from their investment in Microsoft products. Essentially, Microsoft NCE is a new billing model for Cloud Services that offers customers three different ways in which to purchase a license for Microsoft 365.
When Does Microsoft NCE Launch?
The program launched in January of 2022 and Microsoft is offering a 5% discount on the annual price if companies commit to a license before the end of March 2022. Starting in October of 2022, all organizations will have to purchase through NCE.
What Are Your Subscription Options?
There are three options for the subscription through the new Microsoft NCE:
1. Monthly Subscription
You will be able to purchase your Microsoft 365 licenses on a monthly basis with the NCE, rather than having to sign up for an annual plan. Microsoft customers who need to make monthly changes to their Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 licenses plans and seat counts can take advantage of this offer. This subscription does come at a 20% price increase across all license plans.
2. Annual Subscription
Through the NCE, you may commit to your licenses for a 12-month membership. The new NCE model differs from the legacy CSP model in that customers who use a 12-month subscription may be charged on a monthly or annual basis.
3. Multi-Year Subscription
Microsoft is introducing a Multi-Year Pricing to the NCE, allowing you to secure a 3-year pricing for longer term licensing commitments. This subscription will give you the option to be billed monthly, annually, or upfront.
